He sent secret data to a Chinese company

愛知県の警察は、９月１７日に古川昭一容疑者を逮捕しました。古川容疑者は６６歳で、大きな化学メーカー「旭化成」の元社員です。

The Aichi Prefectural Police arrested suspect Shoichi Furukawa on September 17. Suspect Furukawa is 66 years old and is a former employee of the major chemical manufacturer Asahi Kasei.

警察によると、古川容疑者は２０２５年９月に会社を辞めた後、半導体を作るための大切な技術データを、中国の化学会社にメールで送りました。これは不正競争防止法という法律に違反する疑いがあります。

According to the police, after leaving the company in September 2025, suspect Furukawa sent important technology data for making semiconductors to a Chinese chemical company via email. This is suspected of violating a law called the Unfair Competition Prevention Act.

旭化成は、データが盗まれたことを確認しました。会社は、この技術を使わせないために裁判を始める予定です。

Asahi Kasei confirmed that the data was stolen. The company plans to start a lawsuit to prevent this technology from being used.
