沖縄県で知事選挙が始まる

基地の移設と経済が大きなテーマです

Base relocation and the economy are the major themes

２０２６年９月１３日に、沖縄県で知事を選ぶ選挙がありました。今回の選挙は、２人の候補者の強い争いになりました。

On September 13, 2026, an election was held to choose the governor in Okinawa Prefecture. This election became a strong contest between two candidates.

１人は、今の知事の玉城デニー氏です。玉城氏は、アメリカ軍の普天間基地を沖縄の中で移設することに反対しています。もう１人は、新人の古謝玄太氏です。古謝氏は、政府を支える自民党などが応援しています。

One is the current governor, Mr. Denny Tamaki. Mr. Tamaki opposes relocating the U.S. military's Futenma base within Okinawa. The other is newcomer Mr. Genta Koja. Mr. Koja is supported by the Liberal Democratic Party, which backs the government.

沖縄の人々は、アメリカ軍の基地の問題や、これからの経済をどう良くするかについて、深く考えて投票しました。

The people of Okinawa voted after thinking deeply about the problems of the U.S. military bases and how to improve the economy in the future.
