The government has decided to start a new Diet session from October 5. Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara conveyed this to the Diet. The period will be 69 days, until December 12. This will be the first major debate since Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi reshuffled her cabinet on September 17.
