JAXAの諏訪理さん、２０２７年春に初めての宇宙へ

宇宙ステーションに約６か月間滞在します

He will stay on the space station for about 6 months

２０２６年９月２５日、日本の文部科学大臣が発表しました。JAXAの宇宙飛行士である諏訪理さんが、国際宇宙ステーション（ISS）に行くことが決まりました。出発は２０２７年３月ごろの予定です。

On September 25, 2026, Japan's Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology made an announcement. It has been decided that JAXA astronaut Makoto Suwa will go to the International Space Station (ISS). The departure is scheduled for around March 2027.

諏訪さんが宇宙に行くのは初めてです。日本人の宇宙飛行士がISSに長く滞在するのは、これで８人目になります。諏訪さんはスペースXの宇宙船「クルードラゴン」に乗ります。そして、宇宙で約６か月間、科学の実験を行う予定です。

This will be Mr. Suwa's first time going to space. He will be the eighth Japanese astronaut to stay long-term on the ISS. Mr. Suwa will ride SpaceX's "Crew Dragon" spacecraft. He is scheduled to conduct scientific experiments in space for about six months.
