Bringing hope to people after the earthquake

２０２６年９月１９日、熊本県にある熊本城が、夕方から朝まで一晩中ライトアップをすると発表しました。これは、７月２８日に起きた大きな地震のあと、地域の人々に希望を届けて、観光を元気にするための計画です。

On September 19, 2026, Kumamoto Castle in Kumamoto Prefecture announced that it will light up all night long, from dusk to dawn. This is a plan to bring hope to local people and revitalize tourism after the large earthquake that occurred on July 28.

７月の地震はマグニチュード７．１で、城の石垣が４０か所で崩れたり、建物の中が壊れたりしました。城は８月１３日にまた開きましたが、来る観光客がとても少なくなっています。

The July earthquake was magnitude 7.1, causing the castle's stone walls to collapse in 40 locations and damaging the inside of the structures. The castle reopened on August 13, but the number of visiting tourists has become very low.
