日本政府、サクラを守るために外来種のクビアカツヤカミキリを駆除へ

２０３０年までに虫をなくす計画を決めました。

A plan has been decided to eliminate the insect by 2030.

２０２６年９月１１日、日本政府は「クビアカツヤカミキリ」という外来種の虫を２０３０年までになくすための新しい対策を決めました。この虫は、サクラやウメ、モモの木を食べて枯らしてしまいます。現在、日本の４７の都道府県のうち、２２の地域でこの虫が見つかっています。

On September 11, 2026, the Japanese government decided on new measures to eliminate an invasive insect called the "red-necked longhorn beetle" by 2030. This insect eats and kills cherry, plum, and peach trees. Currently, this insect has been found in 22 of Japan's 47 prefectures.

環境大臣の石原宏高氏は、国が市や町にお金や技術の支援をすると発表しました。地域ごとの計画を作り、虫に食べられた木を切り倒したり、薬をまいたりして、虫が増えるのを防ぎます。

Environment Minister Hirotaka Ishihara announced that the national government will provide financial and technical support to cities and towns. They will create regional plans, cut down trees damaged by the insect, and spray chemicals to prevent the insect from multiplying.
