２０２６年９月１７日、島根県の隠岐諸島から南西に約１０４キロメートル離れた海で、北朝鮮の貨物船に引かれていた小さな船が沈みました。この海は、日本の排他的経済水域（ＥＥＺ）の中にあります。
On September 17, 2026, in the sea about 104 kilometers southwest of the Oki Islands in Shimane Prefecture, a small boat being towed by a North Korean cargo ship sank. This sea is within Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
北朝鮮の救助調整本部から連絡があり、日本の海上保安庁は巡視船や飛行機を送り、海から３人を助けました。２人は意識がありますが、１人は意識がなく、亡くなっているとみられます。残る１人はまだ見つかっておらず、捜索が続いています。
Following a report from North Korea's Rescue Coordination Center, the Japan Coast Guard sent patrol vessels and aircraft, rescuing three people from the sea. Two people are conscious, but one is unresponsive and presumed dead. The remaining one person has not been found yet, and the search continues.
