There are concerns it could affect the Silver Week holidays

気象庁は９月１５日に発表しました。トラック諸島の近くで、熱帯低気圧が発達しています。２４時間以内に「台風２５号」になる可能性が高いです。

The Japan Meteorological Agency announced this on September 15. Near the Truk Islands, a tropical depression is developing. There is a high possibility it will become 'Typhoon No. 25' within 24 hours.

この台風は北西に進んで、９月１８日から１９日ごろに小笠原諸島に近づく予定です。その後、日本の本州などにも強い雨や風を連れてくるかもしれません。

This typhoon is projected to move northwest and approach the Ogasawara Islands around September 18–19. After that, it might also bring heavy rain and strong winds to the Japanese mainland.

日本では、５日間の「シルバーウィーク」の休みが始まります。旅行や外のイベントが中止になったり、乗り物が遅れたりする心配があります。気象庁は注意を呼びかけています。

In Japan, the five-day 'Silver Week' holiday will begin. There are concerns that travel and outdoor events might be canceled, or transportation delayed. The Meteorological Agency is calling for caution.
