Meaning

Particle indicating exclusivity ("only," "just," "nothing but"), approximation ("about," "approximately," "almost"), or that an action has just occurred ("to have just done"). It can also express that something is on the verge of happening or that someone is constantly doing something.

Examples

• 彼は漫画ばかり読んでいる。 — He only reads manga.
• 私は今、昼ごはんを食べたばかりです。 — I just ate lunch.
• ここから駅まで、歩いて１０分ばかりです。 — It's about a 10-minute walk from here to the station.
