Polite form (-masu)
済みます (sumimasu) is the polite non-past form of 済む.
Examples
- 宿題がやっと済んで、ほっとした。 — I finally finished my homework and felt relieved.
- この仕事は今日中に済むだろう。 — This work will probably be finished by the end of today.
- 簡単な修理で済むなら、自分でやってみよう。 — If it can be fixed with a simple repair, I'll try to do it myself.
